Harry Klein -München->Shanti - Moscow->Berlin - Germany

For the last month or so I have been sort of couch-surfing punk rock style, but have finally settled into a room here in Friedrichshain. Feels nice to know you have a home, especially when you’re like, 34. Anyway, I thought an update would be nice, as it’s 08.30 here and well, what else is there to do at this hour. I’m currently waiting for Sammy Dee to get out of bed so I can head over to his house for some studio work. And yes, he has a REAL studio.
For the past two weeks we have been diligently working on some music together. We’re not exactly sure where or if we will release anything yet, but nevertheless it has been a total blast to hang out with him for 10 or so hours a day with beers and coffee and mess around on computers and synthesizers. We have finished up 2 tracks together and one is good and the other is (to me) pretty darn mind-blowing. Our goal is to finish 5 or 6 and see what things look like then: if we like them, do we wanna release them, etc.

On the weekends however, I have been up to no good playing just a couple shows this past month, but a full schedule ahead for me in October.
I have played Harry Klein club in München three times this year, and well, the third time is a charm, right? This was only the second time in my life that I actually had to play an encore, and wow - what an ego-boost. eeek!

Here are a couple of photos from the event

Up next was an incredible even in Moscow. Really. I never dreamed I would make it to Moscow to share my ridiculous brand of music, but low and behold! It was actually pretty weird getting a visa to enter Russia. It’s still pretty strict to enter the country, not for any real political reason really, but mainly because it is so mafia style there that getting a visa is a real drag. Our first attempt at a visa at the embassy made it seem impossible, but jumping through the hoops we later found out that simply giving a travel agency €120 will get you what you want, as a lot of official documents have to be exchanged from agency to ageny and someone HAS to make some money out of it.

The place that I played was a very nice joint called Shanti, which is not a club really, but a Vietnamese restaurant with a dance-floor in the back. This place holds at most 250 people. Needless to say, I was shocked when the place was packed. The kitchen for Shanti is placed right by the DJ booth, so the waiters had to actually walk across the dance floor with trays of food to get to the restaurant. So, when it was full, well they had quite a time squeezing through the crowd to get the actual dining room. I have to say this was one of my favorite shows, the people really went totally crazy and basically screamed the entire I played. Wow. Here are a couple of bad photos...I hope you get the idea.

And then there was this little kid standing in front of me while I played - I thought that was a little weird:

So, I hope this suffices for a small Bruno update.

Everyone take care, and here’s a little peck on the cheek for enduring my bad grammar.

Thanks for the post and the wake-up call dude!  Maybe that’s why I was dreaming about immigration?  Anyhow the gig at the Russian Vietnamese restaurant with the Indian name is priceless.  Have a great time working on those tracks and keep your bro posted!  Damn, I can’t wait to do a little work in studio Caro.  Gotta eff with the visual muisic some more first.  Abrazos, r

Sorry for that wake-up call, dude, but sometimes I miss my buddy Randall too much to remember the time difference between here and the US. Immigration - shit - WEIRD.

Olga! What a nice time in Moscow! I’ll be back for sure...I love Moscow. Wow. I’m hearing rumors of St. Petersburg in January...Let’s take the fast train!

Ciao

Bruno on Perlon? Can it be? Remember, I called that shit 2 years ago, bro.

Sounds like things are cruising along well for you in Europe.

Keep on truckin’, and let us know if you’re returning to Seattle.
