New Worst Band

I saw this band on Canadian television last night, on a MuchMusic special.  I stared with my jaw open for a minute because they were absolutely the worst band I have ever heard.  The singer had an affected Anglo/American tone, annoyingly shrill yet somehow devoid of feeling.  Since there are a lot of bands I haven’t heard of up here (Canadian content laws) I assumed they were Canadian.  I looked them up on the Web for fun today, and I found out to my great surprise that they are from Las Vegas.  They are called “The Killers.” In a nutshell: Blink 182 meets The Dream Academy.  This actually manages to be as bad as it sounds.

That was sort of their schtick on the first album, but as emily noted, on the new one you can acutally hear the lead singers voice, and you realise he sucks, and the music this time around is double crap because of it.
