Here are a couple of nice shots of the back of an Oberheim SEM.  The color-coded Molex connectors which route signals to and from the SEM have wonderful, gemlike hues.  In the second shot the new electrolytic cap is evident (the big blue can).

This is an SEM rev “A”.  Unfortunately, in my 4-voice I have this one rev A board and three of rev B, for which I have no schematics.  This caused me to waste a bunch of time yesterday.  If anyone out there has SEM rev B schematics, please contact me!

I’m taking all these pictures with a really weird digital camera: the Polaroid X530.  It’s got a strange type of image sensor in it from Foveon, which isn’t used in any other cameras except one Sigma SLR.  It’s pretty cheap, focuses like crap, and takes photos which are sometimes really janky, and super grainy in low light, but have an amazing film-like quality sometimes.  I think of it as my digital Holga.  Click the top picture for the big version.
