MUTEK was a blast this year all the way through-- from my audiovisual performance on Wednesday all the way through to the Piknik on Sunday.  Sutekh and the crazy brothers from Jena put on really memorable shows out there.  Sutekh played some of the weirdest, darket, but still danceable (mostly) beats anyone could remember hearing in that venue.  Wighnomies played some great records (incl. Quenum mix of “Back on That Road”, rah) and then somehow got away with some truly awful ones ("I’m Raving, I’m Raving") with style to spare.

Cobblestone Jazz was still the musical highlight of the festival.  Tobias from Montreal took a little video. You don’t the whole idea because he stopped taping and started dancing after the first song, before some of the truly weird extrasensory space jazz disco techno jams broke out.  So whaddayawant?  Come see for yourself next time.
